ChoChChange of Character

First lower-high (in an uptrend) or higher-low (in a downtrend) — an early warning that momentum is reversing before a full BOS.

Change of Character (ChoCh) is the first lower-high inside an established uptrend, or the first higher-low inside a downtrend. It precedes a full Break of Structure and tells you smart money is rotating before retail sees the reversal.

ChoCh is your early warning signal. Entries based on ChoCh alone are aggressive; pairing ChoCh with a confirmed BOS in the new direction gives you a much higher probability setup. Always check higher-timeframe structure to ensure the ChoCh isn't just a normal pullback in a strong trend.
